No avail - I have also run JRT, and Malwarebytes Anti-Root Kit software, and Kasperskys tdsskiller, and Windows Defender in safe mode - also to no avail. I have already run Kaspersky, Spybot Seacrh and Destroy, Malwaebytes a- all in safe mode to Computer acts wonky without either flash drive inserted. Both files were loaded to and installed to a flash drive. I did not go on the deep web but I did check both files with "Virus Total" ( ) and both of the installation files came up clean. This all started when I downloaded TOR and Tails.
meaning that the only thing that I've been able to "fix are the function keys (by doing the system restore - everything else has been acting really wonky.
I have tried to use both system restore and a system repair disc (created a month earlier in January - to no avail. I applied a system restore just before I put them through - and they loaded quite differently than Windows usual updates - the updates it wanted to install were 15 in total, but when I denied them and went to the Windows update page Windows only had 6 total updates that were it said were due to be applied! it would not allow me to use any of the function keys (including and especially the radio antenna key) I first noticed the problem when I booted up the computer (Samsung laptop) and it took three times as long to boot as normal.
The computer really started acting up a couple of days ago - it will not allow me to disable the microphone (when I was able to do so easily in the past ) it will no long no longer allow my "DFX Audio Enhancer" to work, it tried to lock me out of my pictures and documents files, It tried to give me fake Windows updates upon shutdown.
